16 Best Prime Day Sneaker Sales, According to a Running-Obsessed Editor

You might associate Prime Day with major savings on tech or everyday essentials—and you wouldn’t necessarily be wrong. But as a running-obsessed editor, I can tell you that sneakers are one of the most underrated categories to shop during Prime Day. A full week ahead of time, Amazon quietly marked down so many shoes—including editor-loved brands like Brooks, New Balance, Adidas, and more.

Ahead of your vacation, workout classes, and hot girl walks, you can swap your worn-down kicks for a fresh new pair, sans the hefty price tag. Right now, the best early deals are on running shoes, in particular. (We're talking $40 off the best-selling Brooks Ghost 16, which is perfect for everyday jogs, incline walking, and days when you're on your feet for hours.) Or, score a fresh pair of sneakers like these Nike Gamma Force kicks for 37% off while they're still in stock in all sizes.

While you could wait until Prime Day (July 8-11, FYI!) to shop, it may be harder to find your size and fave color in stock once the actual event begins—so shop my personal favorite sneaker finds early, below.

Whether you're training for a 5k or spending lots of time on your feet this summer, these cushioned kicks from Brooks are a versatile pick. I've run thousands of miles in the Brooks Ghost over the years, and I love the soft midsole cushioning, bouncy stride, and ventilated upper that'll help you avoid overheating.

Hit the gym, take a pilates class, or head out on a hot girl walk in these stunning sneakers. They're a #1 best-seller on Amazon for a reason: the slip-on design and lightweight construction make them easy to wear for a wide range of activity types. Bonus points for this pretty blue color!

My closet may be filled to the brim with shoes, but I'm sooo tempted to grab the trendy Puma Speedcat while it's on sale. The suede construction and driving shoe silhouette makes it a streetwear staple you can wear with just about anything.

Colorful suede sneaks are pretty much ubiquitous in street style these days, so score these violet and blue Gola kicks while they're on sale. The textured rubber soles offer plenty of traction while the low-top design pairs perfectly with skirts and/or frilly socks.

If you prefer a shoe with layer upon layer of squishy cushioning, I recommend Asics Gel-Kayano. These running shoes are specifically designed for people who over-pronate or have arch problems; its 4D guidance system helps keep excess ankle movement in check.

Puma seems to be every celebrity's favorite shoe brand right now—from Dua Lipa to Rihanna to Jennifer Lawrence. Get the look with these retro cross-trainers; I'm obsessed with the blue and pink accents and the subtle cage overlay (and the fact that they're only $50.

New Balance's lifestyle sneakers simply never miss. Case in point: these vintage-inspired, suede-wrapped shoes. I love how they look styled with baggy jeans and a baby tee, but the athletic silhouette is equally effortless when paired with leggings or running shorts, too.

I really hate to admit how much I love these chunky Skechers. The thick soles are so nostalgic as someone who grew up in the early 2000s, so they're perfect for channeling a little Y2k style. Plus, the brand says they have a cooling foam insole—which sounds perfect for summer heat, TBH.

If you want a floating feeling while you run or walk, the Saucony Hurricanes are another great pick. The chunky rocker shape propels you forward, and the brand claims that its PWRRUN PB foam cushioning helps improve energy return—aka giving you a little extra pep in every step.

If you're marathon training this summer, I'm sending thoughts and prayers. I'm also sending you out to buy these Brooks sneakers that are perfect for all your long runs; the rocker shape helps propel you forward, while its enhanced cushioning will absorb impact as you stride. You can thank me later!

Since low-top Adidas sneakers are *everywhere* right now, it would be just plain rude of Amazon not to include at least one pair in their Prime Day deals. Enter the Court 3.0! I love the contrasting rubber sole with the black-and-white upper—you'd better grab a pair before your size sells out.

File under: Prime Day deals I thought were too good to be true. Nike dunks are n-e-v-e-r on sale, but this similar black-and-white pair of Gamma Force sneakers is 37% off right now. The low-top silhouette looks so sporty, but I'd act fast if you want a pair for yourself: I'd predict these sneakers jump back to full price before Prime Day (they're already sold out in most colors).

Never tie your shoes again—thanks to these velcro sneaks that come in a stunning (and on-trend) metallic silver colorway. The flexible tongue and double-strap design make them a slip-on style that's still sporty, all for under $60 right now.

I love the sporty silhouette of these all-white sneaks; they're perfect for adding an athletic element to your look without being too casual. The retro-inspired paneling and low-top fit pair so effortlessly with denim, dresses, trousers, and more.

New Balance's Fresh Foam collection is one of the most popular running shoe styles on the market. They offer a high-cushion yet lightweight ride (aka you won't feel clunky), while the subtle rocker shape gives you extra momentum in every step. And since they aren't ~too~ chunky, you can still wear 'em for walks, workout classes, pickleball, and beyond.

You can never go wrong with an all-white sneaker, and this pair from Adidas is under $50 ahead of Prime Day. The "cloudfoam" midsole claims to offer lightweight yet noticeable cushioning, so it's great for walking, workout classes, and beyond.
